Job summary

RIMEX in Saskatoon is seeking a Machinist - Vertical Boring Mill to join our team. You will set up, operate, and program vertical boring mills to produce precision parts for our off-road wheel and rim assemblies.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, Red Seal certification or working toward it, and at least 3 years of experience in heavy metal manufacturing, with CNC programming and tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Red seal certification or working towards certification.
• Vertical Boring Mill & Turning experience.
• Experience in programming CNC machines.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a heavy metal manufacturing environment.
• Experience in precision machining with tight tolerances.
• Experience using an overhead crane an asset.

Responsibilities

• Complete set up sheets; documenting new product requirements for approval
• Set up the machines properly and ensure that they are working at full capacity
• Determine and then run the appropriate program for each job; make adjustments as needed to ensure quality product.
• Load and unload the machines with the required products
• Check and measure parts
• Change the inserts when required
• Operate all equipment, including in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
• General clean up of working area to help maintain a safe working environment

Our continued growth and development has created a need for a Machinist - Vertical Boring Mill in our Saskatoon branch.

The position is full time - 40 hours per week, with possible shift work. We offer competitive wages as well as a comprehensive benefit package after the completion of the probationary period.
