DynaIndustrial Saskatoon is seeking experienced Machinists – Horizontal Boring Mill Operators to join our team. This role focuses on large, one-of-a-kind components, not repetitive production, and offers a challenging environment for precision machining.

You will set up and operate large HBM machines (manual and CNC), interpret drawings, select tooling, verify tolerances, and collaborate with engineers and welders. A strong quality mindset and 5+ years in machining are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of machining experience.
• Experience operating Horizontal Boring Mills (HBMs).
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, setups, feeds and speeds.
• Ability to read complex drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate large Horizontal Boring Mills (manual and/or CNC).
• Machine large industrial components to precise tolerances.
• Interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications.
• Select tooling, fixtures and strategies to maximize quality.
• Verify dimensions with precision instruments.

We're growing and looking for a coupleexperienced Machinists – Horizontal Boring Mill Operators to join our team.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate large Horizontal Boring Mills (manual and/or CNC).
• Machine large industrial components and custom-built equipment to precise tolerances.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and machining specifications.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot machining issues as required.
• Work closely with engineers, welders, fabricators, and fellow machinists to complete projects successfully.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of machining experience, preferably operating Horizontal Boring Mills.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, setups, feeds, speeds, and blueprint reading.
• Experience machining large components and heavy industrial parts.
• Experience operating overhead cranes is considered a strong asset.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex machining challenges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
