Job summary

DynaIndustrial Saskatoon is seeking experienced Machinists – Horizontal Boring Mill Operators to join our team. Work on large, one-of-a-kind components rather than repetitive production, with opportunities for overtime and skilled collaboration.

You will set up and operate large HBM, read complex drawings, and ensure tight tolerances on heavy industrial parts while maintaining safety and quality in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of machining experience, preferably with Horizontal Boring Mills.
• Strong understanding of tooling, setups, feeds, speeds, and blueprint reading.
• Experience machining large components and heavy industrial parts.
• Experience operating overhead cranes is a strong asset.
• Ability to work independently and maintain quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate large Horizontal Boring Mills (manual and CNC).
• Machine large industrial components to precise tolerances.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and machining specifications.
• Select tooling and strategies to maximize efficiency and quality.

We're growing and looking for a couple experienced Machinists – Horizontal Boring Mill Operators to join our team.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate large Horizontal Boring Mills (manual and/or CNC).
• Machine large industrial components and custom-built equipment to precise tolerances.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and machining specifications.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot machining issues as required.
• Work closely with engineers, welders, fabricators, and fellow machinists to complete projects successfully.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of machining experience, preferably operating Horizontal Boring Mills.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, setups, feeds, speeds, and blueprint reading.
• Experience machining large components and heavy industrial parts.
• Experience operating overhead cranes is considered a strong asset.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex machining challenges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Positive attitude and desire to continually learn and improve.
