Job summary

S3 Group Ltd. is a Saskatchewan-based manufacturer serving the agricultural industry across North America. We are seeking a reliable machinist to produce custom parts and assist with maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 education, CNC/manual machining experience, and the ability to read blueprints and precision measurement tools. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely production in a team setting.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent is required.
  • Journeyperson machinist certificate or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of manual/CNC machine shop experience.
  • Ability to read calipers, micrometers, protractors and tape measures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate lathe and mill to manufacture custom or maintenance parts.
  • Measure and examine specifications using mathematics, micrometers and vernier calipers.
  • Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications.
  • Write basic programs for custom product lines.
  • Ensure parts are machined in a timely manner to meet production requirements.

Requirements
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent (required)
  • Saskatchewan journeyperson machinist certificate, or equivalent
  • 1 year accumulated manual/CNC machine shop experience
  • Capable of accurately reading calipers, micrometers, protractors and tape measures
  • Take accurate measurements and data recording
  • Mathematical skills to include fractions, decimals and metric system
  • Familiarity with basic tools and mechanically inclined
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Adequate reading and writing skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, engineering plans, work orders, and specifications
Workplace Responsibilities
