Job summary

North West Rubber is seeking a Machine Operator for weekend days (Sat & Sun, 7am–7pm) at our Brantford, Ontario facility. You will start up and shut down machines, monitor production, and keep accurate reports to support a safe, efficient operation.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical aptitude, excellent hand-eye coordination, strong attendance, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior machine operator experience is an asset, and opportunity for overtime is available.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Must be mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Fast learner able to follow instructions.
• Able to stand for duration of shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Start-up and shutdown of machines.
• Complete pre-start checklists and daily production reports.
• Assist with scheduled maintenance (bi-weekly).
• Monitor belts to prevent jams and assess machine performance.
• Monitor metal detectors for contaminants in material.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist other operators when required.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Start-up and shutdown of machines
• Complete pre-start checklists and daily production reports
