Job summary

Mitsui High-tec (Canada), Inc. invites applications for a skilled Millwright to join our Brantford team. Be part of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility serving the eco-friendly vehicle sector and grow with our expanding Canadian operations.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, motivated, and ready to contribute to a safe, precision-driven environment. Training will be provided, with weekend and shift-work requirements as outlined.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a maintenance/mechanical technician in a manufacturing environment.
• 433A license mandatory.
• Strong Mechanical/Electrical aptitude.
• Knowledge and experience with ISO based quality systems preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge and experience with laser welding technology preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Safely use hand and power tools as well as install machinery, support equipment and structures on all machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, electrical and mechanical drawings for plant equipment and processes.
• Perform repairs to machinery and plant support systems with regards to Electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic and mechanical repairs.
• Direct and coordinate maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to designed and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Compile data and write reports regarding projects, when applicable.
• Other duties as required.
• The candidate must be able to work on our Weekend 1st Shift (Friday to Sunday 6:00am - 6:00pm) and be available to work on the Weekday 1st Shift (Monday to Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm) for approximately 4-8 weeks for training.
