Manpower in Brantford, ON is seeking Machine Operators/Baggers to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has ≥2 years of related experience and holds a forklift license.

They offer straight nights, straight days, and Weekend Days shifts. Responsibilities include start-up/shutdown of machines, daily production reports, preventive maintenance, monitoring belts and detectors, troubleshooting, forklift duties, and ensuring continuous material flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Must have forklift license.
• Ability to stand for duration of shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Start-up and shutdown of machines.
• Complete pre-start checklists and daily production reports.
• Assist with scheduled maintenance (bi-weekly).
• Monitor belts to ensure no jams and overall performance of machine.
• Monitor metal detectors and look for contaminants in material.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and adjust as required.
• Assist other operators when required.
• Fill hoppers with processed rubber.
• Stage materials on the plant floor.
• Ensure continual feed of material to hoppers to keep production going.

Requirements:

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Must be mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
• Excellent attendance & punctuality
• Fast learner who is able to follow instructions
• Able to stand for duration of shift and constantly lift up to 50lbs
• Previous experience as a machine operator in a production/manufacturing facility is an asset

Days - 7am-7:15pm Mon-Fri - $20.34/hr
Nights- 7pm-7:15am Mon-Fri - $21.34/hr

Weekend Days- 7am-7pm Sat and Sun - $20.34/hr
