  • Excellent attendance & punctuality.
  • Fast learner who is able to follow instructions.
  • Able to stand for duration of shift and constantly lift up to 50lbs.
  • Previous experience as a machine operator in a production/manufacturing facility is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Start-up and shutdown of machines
  • Complete pre-start checklists and daily production reports
  • Assist with scheduled maintenance (bi-weekly)
  • Monitor belts to ensure no jams, stoppages, overall performance of machine
  • Monitor metal detectors and look for contaminants in material (metal, wood, debris, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Assist other operators when required
