Wonderbrands is hiring an Operator in Mississauga, ON, to join our fast-paced bakery production team. You will ensure equipment runs smoothly, products meet quality and safety standards, and production goals are met on a 12-hour shift (5:00 AM–5:00 PM).

The role requires flexibility for weekdays and weekends. Responsibilities include setup and adjustment of dividers, stamps, and conveyors, monitoring controls, and assisting R&D with product trials.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced food production environment is preferred.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Basic troubleshooting to resolve machine issues and adjust controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment to meet quality and safety standards.
• Set and adjust controls of dividers, stamps, sheeters, and molding boards per product specs.
• Record all required information per SOPs and maintain equipment setups.
• Prepare overhead proofer and conveyor per product requirements.
• Maintain flour dusters and perform timely changeovers for efficiency.
• Assist R&D with product trials and support mixers as required.
• Manage line breaks for the crew and perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Production Leader - Supervisor, the Operator will work in a fast-paced food production environment ensuring equipment is runninng smoothly and efficiently, products meet quality and safety standards and production goals are achieved.

Shift Schedule: 12 hour shifts (5:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

*must be flexible to work weekdays and weekends*

Location: 2095 Meadowvale Blvd. Mississauga, ON.

Pay Rate: $22/hr

Responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable legislative and Wonderbrands food safety and good manufacturing practices, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Responsible for setting and adjusting controls of dividers in accordance with product specification
• Checks and records all necessary information as per standard operating procedures
• Responsible for the set-up of overhead proofer and reciprocating conveyor as per product requirements and standard operating procedures
• Maintains flour dusters as required
• Perform changeovers in a timely manner to maximize product efficiencies
• Responsible for the setting and adjusting controls for stampers, sheeters and molding boards, in accordance with product specifications
• Assist Research and Development team with product trials
• Assist Mixers as required
• Manage breaks for line crew
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required

Requirements

• Working knowledge of dough mixing qualities
• Basic troubleshooting skills to resolve common issues and perform machine adjustments
• Attention to detail and good organization skills
• Comfortable lifting upto 50 lbs of wright on a consistent basis
• Able to push and pull weight up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
• Maintain productivity in a fast-paced operation
• Knowledge of OSHA, HACCP and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) is considered an asset
• Basic computer and mathematical skills preferred
• Forklift certification is considered an asset
