DECIEM | THE ABNORMAL BEAUTY COMPANY is hiring a Machine Operator for our Etobicoke facility. You will work on tube and manual lines, performing pre-operational checks and basic maintenance to ensure safe, efficient production.

Role based at our 123 Eastside Manufacturing Facility in Etobicoke, with opportunities to contribute to quality and process improvements while supporting palletising and safety tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Lean, TPM and Six Sigma principles is an asset.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-starter who thrives on solving complex problems.
• Process-focused with a track record of driving repeatable, measurable results.
• Action-oriented and ready to challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operational checks on all machinery and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Make basic machine adjustments, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Conduct routine quality in-process checks on products.
• Maintain clean, safe worksite and equipment storage.
• Assist palletising: labels to master cases and handling cases to build pallets.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Machine Operator to work on our tube and manual lines.

This is a full-time role based out of our 123 Eastside Manufacturing Facility in Etobicoke.

PAY RANGE

The anticipated base hourly pay for this position is $21.50 to 23.00 an hour. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.

WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROL E

• Perform pre-operational checks on all machinery and equipment to ensure it is in safe working condition
• Perform basic machine adjustments, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the equipment
• Perform routine quality in-process checks for the products on the line as required
• Ensure company equipment, material, and the worksite are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner
• Support palletising process including but not limited to creating and implementing labels to master cases and handling the cases to build the pallets
• Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
• Organise, maintain an obstructive-free work area and safely operate all machinery/equipment
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation
• Perform and report on daily safety and autonomous maintenance (centerlines, CIL etc.) related checks
• Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to Line Inspectors and Associate Managers

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

• Knowledge of Lean, Total Productive Maintenance and Six Sigma principles is an asset
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Self-starter who thrives on solving complex problems and taking on new challenges
• Hands-on, deeply engaged person who is process focused and has a track record of driving repeatable, measurable results
• Action-oriented and always looking for ways to challenge the status quo.
