Job summary

Fresh Prep is a Canadian sustainable meal kit delivery company seeking a reliable Machine Operator to join our production team. You will set up, run, and maintain single-use portioning and packaging machinery to ensure high-quality ingredients are packed safely and efficiently for our meal kits.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, full-time, with pay of $22.20 per hour plus health/dental benefits after 90 days and food perks.

Qualifications

• Experience operating or maintaining packaging/portioning machinery in a fast-paced environment (food/manufacturing preferred).
• Familiarity with basic spreadsheet data entry (Excel or Google Sheets).
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and work in a cold production environment (0–4°C).

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, operate, and clean single-use food portioning and packaging machines.
• Package food items according to weekly recipe specifications and stage finished goods for distribution.
• Maintain allergen segregation, perform quality checks, and keep station clean and compliant with food safety standards.
• Log daily output, inventory checks, and machine metrics using Google Sheets/Excel.
• Perform basic machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and end-of-shift station cleanup.

What You’ll Be Doing

Set up, calibrate, operate, and clean single-use food portioning and packaging machines.

Package food items according to weekly recipe specifications and staging finished goods for distribution.

Maintain strict allergen segregation, conduct routine quality checks, and keep your station clean and compliant with food safety standards.

Log daily output, inventory checks, and machine metrics using Google Sheets / Excel.

Perform basic machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and end-of-shift station cleanup.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience operating or maintaining packaging/portioning machinery in a fast-paced environment (food or manufacturing preferred).
