Job summary

Fresh Prep invites you to join its Vancouver team as a packaging associate in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. You will accurately portion ingredients and operate packaging equipment in a temperature-controlled area, contributing to the company’s mission of sustainable, high-quality meal kit delivery.

We value reliability, teamwork, and adaptability in a dynamic environment. The role offers an 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift Monday to Friday, with benefits after 90 days and exclusive product

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or warehouse environments is preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced setting with deadlines.
• Able to stand for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, and collaborative team member.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

• The main activity in this department is the packaging of the ingredients per our different recipes specifications, into their appropriate plastic packaging.

• Set up, operate, and maintain portioning/slicing and packaging equipment safely, efficiently, and in compliance with recipe specifications and production requirements.

• You will be working your shift in an area where the temperature is maintained between 0-4 degrees Celsius.

• You will prepare and package food items according to weekly recipe specifications with the use and operation of specific single use packaging portioning machines.

• You will be required to set up and maintain all types of packaging machines and cutting machines in safe, clean and good operating condition.

• You will be required to work in a safe manner and to assist in maintaining a clean, healthy, food-safe production facility.

• This position involves frequent bending and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as part of the essential duties.

• The role includes end-of-shift cleanup and the proper staging of finished products.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in food manufacturing, warehouse, or high-paced environment preferred.

• Able to work in a high-paced warehouse environment with strict deadlines.

• Comfortable working in a temperature controlled environment. The warehouse is kept at between 0 to 10 degrees Celsius.

• Able to stand on your feet for 8 hour shifts with frequent bending and lifting

• Ability to lift objects up to 40 lbs. (18 kg)

• Hourly Wage: $21.24/hour

• Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
