Job summary

AAA Canada is seeking a Machine Assistant – Laborer in Mirabel (QC) for a full-time evening or weekend shift. You will assist in assembling fixtures, verify part quality, and perform routine machine maintenance while updating production records and ensuring safety.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, ability to follow procedures, strong organization, and the ability to work under pressure in a team.

Qualifications

• Ability to assemble simple and complex parts.
• Understanding of work procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a productive timeline.
• Forklift and overhead crane certification required.
• Must be organized and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fixtures according to operation sheets.
• Check part condition during assembly.
• Complete daily maintenance and refill oil; clean filters per maintenance sheet.
• Fill machines with cutting oil and update production lists.
• Load/unload parts and fixtures to designated locations.
• Maintain clean workstation and tools; ensure machine readiness.

Job Description:

We are supporting our client, a recognized player in the manufacturing sector, in their search for a Machine Assistant – Laborer.

• Ensure the assembly of fixtures according to operation sheets.
• Check the good condition of the part during its assembly.
• Ensure the daily maintenance sheet is completed and oil is refilled, then clean the filters according to the level 1 maintenance sheet.
• Fill the machines with cutting oil.
• Update the production list (progress of work) located on the machine.
• Load, unload, and transport parts and fixtures to designated locations.
• Fill and empty chip containers.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the workstation, machine, and maintenance of tools in working order.
• Transmit instructions and the status of ongoing work to the next shift (message in the log-book).
• Inform your manager of any anomaly or problem likely to hinder the proper functioning of production.
• Conduct tasks in compliance with the vision, doctrine, and code of ethics of the company.
• Apply and comply with safety rules at all times.
• Apply and comply with the rules of our policy and quality system.
• All other related tasks.
