Job summary

Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver seeks an experienced Event Supervisor to lead service staff for group functions, ensuring flawless execution and guest satisfaction. You will embody the brand's standards, coordinate with event managers, and drive safety, quality, and team engagement.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic luxury setting. This is a full-time position offering ongoing growth within Fairmont/Accor networks.

Qualifications

• Post Secondary Degree in Hospitality or Food and Beverage Management (asset).
• Minimum two years Event Leadership or Serving experience in Luxury events.
• Strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to delegate tasks and motivate colleagues.
• Experience with MS Office and Opera for Sales & Catering.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and uphold Fairmont’s service standards and policies.
• Lead event service staff and supervise floor activity.
• Coordinate with Event Managers and other hotel departments.
• Promote health, safety, and sustainability policies.
• Support Meeting Planner Voice of Guest survey goals and productivity targets.
• Oversee event food & beverage functions and staff training.
• Liaise between kitchen, event staff, and function organizers.
• Assist with billing, scheduling, and staff assignments as needed.
