Job summary

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is seeking a Captain Server to lead banquet service with a focus on guest satisfaction in a luxury setting in Canada. You will train staff, present beverages and food, and ensure high standards of service and safety.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of serving experience with leadership, a Pro Serve certification, and a valid Alberta driver’s license. Knowledge of wine, cocktails and beer is essential, along with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year serving experience (incl. 6 months a la carte)
• Previous leadership experience required
• Valid Alberta driver’s license
• Pro Serve certification required
• Excellent knowledge of wine, cocktails and beer
• Banquets experience preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Team oriented with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Offer professional, friendly and engaging service to guests
• Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative way
• Train and develop new and existing staff
• Present and deliver food items to guest tables
• Bus and re-set tables
• Ensure safety and sanitation policies are followed
• Lead the F&B Outlet team to meet service standards
• Attend scheduled meetings and support outlet promotions
• Support revenue growth through collaboration with Food & Beverage teams
