Job summary

Bannister Ford Dawson Creek is seeking an experienced Lube & Tire Technician to join our Service Department. The role focuses on tire service, including mounting, balancing, rotations, and seasonal changes, alongside routine lube duties.

You should have hands-on tire experience and be comfortable in a fast-paced shop. If you have tire or automotive service experience and a strong mechanical aptitude, we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with tires and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Experience as tire or lube technician in a busy shop.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Mounting, balancing, installing, and rotating tires
• Completing seasonal tire changeovers
• Inspecting tires for wear, damage, and inflation
• Performing tire repairs where appropriate
• Oil and filter changes and routine maintenance
• Basic vehicle inspections and identifying maintenance or safety concerns
• Checking and topping up vehicle fluids
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed
• Safely operating hoists, tire machines, balancing equipment, and other shop tools
• Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe
• Supporting the Service Department and technicians as required
• Following all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures

Bannister Ford Dawson Creek is looking for anexperienced Lube & Tire Technician to join our busy Service Department. This position will have astrong focus on tire service, including mounting, balancing, rotations, repairs, and seasonal tire changes, along with regular lube technician duties.

We are looking for someone who already hashands‑on experience working with tires and basic vehicle maintenance and can confidently work in a fast‑paced shop environment.Previous tire technician, lube technician, or automotive service experience is required.

What You'll Do

As a Lube & Tire Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Mounting, balancing, installing, and rotating tires
• Completing seasonal tire changeovers
• Inspecting tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation
• Performing tire repairs where appropriate
• Completing oil and filter changes and other routine maintenance services
• Performing basic vehicle inspections and identifying potential maintenance or safety concerns
• Checking and topping up vehicle fluids
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed

Safely operating hoists, tire machines, balancing equipment, and other shop tools

Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe

Supporting the Service Department and technicians as required

Following all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures

What We're Looking For

• Previous tire technician, lube technician, or automotive service experience is required
• Strong experience with tire mounting, balancing, repairs, and seasonal changeovers
• Mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in the automotive industry
• Ability to safely operate tire and shop equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, team-oriented environment
• Reliable, punctual, and motivated
• Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting and handling tires
