Job summary

Fountain Tire Grande Prairie is seeking a responsible Automotive Tire Technician to join our team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. You will install, balance, rotate, and repair tires for passenger and light trucks, reset TPMS, and maintain shop equipment in a clean, safe environment.

The role offers weekday shifts with potential overtime during busy seasons. Training and advancement opportunities are provided, along with discounts on tires, parts, and services for you and your family.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience in the automotive/tire industry is required.
• Must be willing to work Saturdays as needed during the busy season.
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset.
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers.
• A keen attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms.

Responsibilities

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels.
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.

Fountain Tire Grande Prairie (10205 156 Avenue), an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an Automotive Tire Technician!

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe
