Job summary

Fountain Tire Calgary (Westbrook) is hiring Automotive Tire Technicians. Join a team with competitive wages and full benefits, including advancement opportunities and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Tire Technician is an asset.
• Knowledge of passenger and light truck tires and wheels is an asset.

• Attention to detail and safety minded.

Responsibilities

• Install, balance, rotate, and repair tires and wheels for passenger and light trucks.
• Reset and repair TPMS.
• Maintain service equipment on a routine basis.
• Perform specialty tire work (studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen).
• Assist in inventory through documentation and counts.
• Contribute to a safe work environment for everyone.

Overview

Fountain Tire Calgary (Westbrook), an established automotive repair shop, is looking for responsible and motivated individuals to join our team as Automotive Tire Technicians!

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Previous experience as a Tire Technician in an automotive shop is an asset
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
