Job summary

CareRx is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team supporting LTC Homes and Retirement Communities in Burnaby. This on-site role focuses on safe drug distribution, compounding checks, and accurate final verifications, with opportunities to develop geriatrics, palliative care, and mental health medication expertise.

You will work with the Staff Pharmacist to prepare, package and distribute prescriptions, ensure authenticity, maintain data entry accuracy in eMAR and

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
• Knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset.
• Retail/Community/ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated computer or work processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information.
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll.
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release.
• Maintaining confidentiality and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
