Job summary

CareRx is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team supporting LTC Homes and Retirement Communities in Regina. You will assist in drug distribution, compounding checks, and medication fulfillment, gaining exposure to geriatrics, palliative care, and mental health medications.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Saskatchewan.
• Experience with KROLL Pharmacy systems in long-term care setting is a strong asset.
• Retail/Community/Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred.
• Demonstrated computer or word processing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks before release
• Maintain documentation, confidentiality, ethical standards, and a clean pharmacy environment
• Other duties as assigned
