Job summary

Calgary Drop-In and Rehab Centre is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in Urban Response programs, including Episodic Medical Care and Rapid Response teams. The role supports clients in shelter, with episodic medical care, vaccinations, and crisis intervention, while documenting care and coordinating with internal and external resources.

The LPN will participate in health promotion, manage wounds, medications, and data entry, and provide culturally aware, trauma-informed care

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited two-year Practical Nursing diploma.
• Registration with the College of LPN's and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Current CPR – BLS and valid professional liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide care within the scope of practice as observed by the leadership team.
• Engage in health teaching on preventive concepts and vaccinations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and organizational databases.
• Coordinate services with team members and external resources.
• Deliver trauma-informed, culturally aware care to clients.
