Job summary

The Calgary Drop-In Centre (the DI) is seeking a Team Trainer (LPN) to lead nursing practice within the Urban Response and Recovery-Oriented System of Care programs. This full-time role reports to the Manager, Health & Recovery Services and fits a 40-hour rotation Monday to Friday at 1 Dermot Baldwin Way SE, Calgary.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Registration with the College of LPNs & HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Valid Professional Liability Insurance. Proof of coverage required.

Responsibilities

• Equip and empower Health & Recovery Services staff for success through onboarding, education, mentorship, and skills development.
• Provide real-time coaching and clinical guidance, promoting trauma-informed, harm reduction, and recovery-oriented approaches.
• Identify trends, address practice gaps, and partner with leaders to implement quality initiatives.
• Lead competency development initiatives and help staff build knowledge and confidence for daily impact.
• Deliver hands-on nursing support, navigate complex care needs, and support teams during critical incidents.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to drive program enhancements and improve client outcomes.
