Job Summary

The Licensed Practical/Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct skilled client care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive client care outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provides direct patient care
  • Provides accurate, detailed, and timely documentation
  • Conducts ongoing assessments
  • Prepares, administers and appropriately documents actions taken specific to medications
  • Performs all skills, treatments, and procedures competently in accordance with the provincial scope of practice
  • Follows principles of infection control and Universal Precautions
Qualifications
