Job summary

Providence Health Care in Vancouver is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join St John Hospice on a regular part-time basis. You will deliver compassionate, patient-centred care and work with an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident care.

This role requires graduation from an approved LPN program with BC College registration and current basic life support. On-site hours rotate days and nights; 0.78 FTE; union BCNU/HSA posting; join a mission-driven

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse program; BC College registrant.
• Current basic life support certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, person-centred nursing care per LPN standards.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor condition, and communicate concerns.
• Administer medications (excluding IV); monitor therapeutic effects and document.
• Develop, implement, evaluate nursing care plans and interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team for care and discharge planning.
• Mentor and support new staff and students; participate in care conferences.
