Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Airdrie, Alberta is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our resident-centered team. Reporting to the Wellness Manager, you will provide nursing care within scope of practice, collaborate with staff and families, and support residents with dignity and respect.

You will supervise Personal Support Workers, manage admissions and status changes, and contribute to individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health preferred.
• Good judgement and risk identification; fosters positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per policy and plan of care.
• Ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.

What you'll be doing:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are:

• In good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
