Sienna Senior Living in Airdrie, AB is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing care under physician orders and the resident plan of care. You will work within the LPN scope, delivering compassionate personal care and coordinating with the care team to support residents who call this community home.

Reporting to the Wellness Manager, you will supervise support staff where assigned, communicate with residents and families, complete assessments, and contribute to a positive, inclusive

Formación

• Must hold an active LPN license in Alberta.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health is preferred.
• Ability to assess and respond to residents' needs.

Responsabilidades

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

What you’ll be doing:

• In good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
