Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a dynamic Lounge Server to deliver an outstanding guest experience in a fast-paced dining room at Cascades Casino. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and participate in promotions and events, while building guest loyalty and promoting special offerings.

Applicants should have at least two years in a high-volume restaurant, cash handling experience with a POS, and relevant certifications (Serving It Right/Smart Serve/Proserve, Food

Qualifications

• Two years or more experience in a similar high-volume restaurant environment.
• Cash handling experience using POS system.
• Tourism, promotion, marketing, entertainment or event training experience preferred.
• Serving It Right (BC)/ Proserve (Alberta) certificate/ Smart Serve (Ontario).
• World Host / Super Host certificate or other customer service programs preferred.
• Proven selling, marketing, and service skills in dining, retail, or promotions environment.
• Knowledge of specialty food and beverage items.
• In-house testing on knowledge of specialty food and beverage items.
• In-house testing on service delivery and promotional ability.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and demonstrates expert knowledge of products, events and promotions.
• Takes orders, expedites and serves food and beverages accurately within time guidelines.
• Participates in promotional activities including social media, events and photo sessions.
• Introduces or presents live entertainment as required.
