Job summary

The Jim Pattison Auto Group is seeking an energetic Lot Attendant for our Lexus Victoria dealership in Victoria, BC. You will help keep vehicle inventory clean, well-presented, and ready for customers, while supporting the Sales department with a positive, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Valid BC driver's license required and driving record acceptable.
• Automotive industry experience is an asset.
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong customer-service attitude and communication skills.

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Physically active role with outdoor work in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of vehicle inventory.
• Display vehicles to create a positive first impression for customers.
• Maneuver, arrange, and relocate inventory and guest vehicles with care.
• Capture clear photos of pre-owned inventory and assist online posting.
• Report potential vehicle or property issues promptly.
• Safely use tools, equipment, and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
• Contribute to a supportive and engaged team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Introduction

The Jim Pattison Auto Group is seeking an energetic, reliable, and organized Lot Attendant to be the pillar of support for our Jim Pattison Lexus Victoria dealership. As a supporting role for our Sales department, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that our vehicles are well presented to our customers.

You’ll take pride in delivering an excellent experience, being detail oriented, and ensuring every interaction reflects our strong commitment to our customers. This is a great role to start your career in the automotive industry, with limitless opportunities for growth and progression.

Schedule

This is a full-time, permanent role of 40 hours per week.

Pay Range

$19.00 per hour, depending on experience

This role reports to the Sales Manager of the dealership.

A Day in the Life

• Maintain and monitor the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of all vehicle inventory, including exterior washing and interior cleaning
• Ensure vehicles are displayed in a way that creates a positive first impression for customers
• Maneuver, arrange, and relocate inventory and guest vehicles with care
• Capture clear, appealing photos of pre-owned vehicle inventory and assist with posting them online
• Ensure any potential issues with vehicles or the dealership property are promptly reported
• Safe use of tools, equipment, and cleaning supplies
• Ensure a high degree of confidentiality with company and customer information
• Participate in maintaining a supportive and engaging working environment
• Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• A valid BC Driver’s license is required, including a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract report
• Previous experience in the automotive industry is considered a strong asset
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmissions is preferred
• Strong customer-service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• This is a physically active role and requires the following:
  • Frequent walking throughout the dealership building and lot
  • Walking and/or standing for long periods
  • Frequent operation of automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Washing vehicles, which may include use of various cleaning products and frequent bending, crouching, and reaching
  • Significant time spent outdoors in various weather, including sun, rain, wind, snow, cold, and heat. Weather conditions are monitored for safety as needed
