Job summary

Jim Pattison Lexus Victoria is seeking a knowledgeable, personable Service Advisor to join our team. You’ll be the primary contact for Service customers from check-in to vehicle pick-up, coordinating with Service and Parts teams to understand concerns and recommend services.

We value organized, detail-oriented professionals with strong customer service, data entry accuracy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with CDK One-Eighty is a plus.

Qualifications

• A valid BC Driver’s license is required with a satisfactory driving abstract.
• Previous automotive service advisor experience preferred; CDK One-Eighty is an asset.
• Customer-facing experience is advantageous; strong communication is essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Detail-oriented, data entry accurate, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet Service customers and understand their needs.
• Document vehicle concerns onto Repair Orders and quote services.
• Act as liaison between customer, parts, and technicians.
• Provide updates on vehicle status and wait times.
• Maintain a tidy workspace and confidentiality of information.

Introduction

The Jim Pattison Auto Group is seeking a knowledgeable, personable, and customer-focused Service Advisor to join the team at our Lexus Victoria dealership. As the primary point of contact for Service customers, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive and professional experience from check-in to vehicle pick-up.

You’ll work closely with customers and our Service and Parts teams to understand vehicle concerns, recommend the appropriate services, provide clear updates, and ensure a smooth service experience. Schedule : This is a full-time, permanent role of 40 hours per week. The regular schedule may vary depending on the dealership’s requirements.

• Greet Service customers and ensure the customer’s needs are fully understood
• Promptly and professionally answer incoming calls to the Service department
• Accurately document all vehicle concerns onto Repair Orders and sell repairs and services to customers based on their needs
• Prepare accurate quotes for recommended services and obtain customer approvals for repairs
• Act as the liaison between the customer, the parts department, and the Automotive Technicians
• Ensure customers are kept informed about the status of their vehicle, any additional recommended repairs that may be found, and wait times
• Manage customer complaints respectfully and promptly;
• Conduct vehicle inspection walk-arounds before and after service appointments
• Maintain a tidy, presentable work space
• Ensure a high degree of confidentiality with company and customer information
• Participate in maintaining a supportive and engaging working environment
• Other administrative duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• A valid BC Driver’s license is required, including a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract report
• Previous experience in the automotive industry as a Service Advisor is preferred, with experience with CDK One-Eighty software considered an asset
• Previous, related experience in a customer-facing role would be considered an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong customer-service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
• Good data entry skills, with strong accuracy
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a face-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Good written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to work in close proximity to a noisy automotive shop
• Ability to periodically work outdoors during the day to complete vehicle inspections, with exposure to various weather conditions including sun, rain, wind, snow, heat, and cold
