Job summary

Blackbird Security Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Training Supervisor in Vancouver, BC. You will lead and train a high-performing Loss Prevention team, coordinating AST certification and ensuring adherence to LP standards for client sites across the region.

The ideal candidate will hold a BC Security License with AST, have supervisory/training experience, and demonstrate strong English communication. A valid driver's license is preferred for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Holds a BC Security License and Advanced Security Training (AST).
• Supervisory and training experience essential.
• Experience arresting/detaining shoplifters.
• Proficient in loss prevention procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee LP officer training with regional managers.
• Coordinate AST certification for LP officers with Training Team.
• Ensure clear communication and professional conduct.
• Train LP Officers to company standards and ongoing development.
• Identify training gaps and develop improvement plans.
• Ensure LP reporting meets standards and prevents false arrests.
• Conduct site audits of LP results and provide frequent check-ins.
• Act as liaison with law enforcement as needed.
• Cover billable LP time and perform related duties.
