Save-On-Foods is hiring a Protective Services Guard for our Winnipeg locations to protect team members, customers and business operations. You will identify theft, maintain a safe environment, observe and greet customers, and conduct security audits of the building and assets.

The role requires a Manitoba Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement, reliable transportation to travel between stores, and strong communication and decision‑making skills.

Qualifications

• MB Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement is required.
• Reliable transportation with ability to travel between store locations.
• Strong communication and quick decision-making under pressure.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Identify theft, mischief, and fraud.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.
• Observe, meet and greet customers.
• Approach situations with a customer-first mindset.
• Maintain a professional demeanor with the public, staff, and law enforcement.
• Conduct security audits of the building and assets.
• Perform arrests, pay‑to‑plet and product recoveries (as applicable).
• Document evidence and type clear and concise reports.

• Performing arrests, ask to pays, and product recoveries.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Documenting all evidence and typing clear and concise reports as required.

You have:

• A valid MB Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• Reliable transportation with the ability to travel between various store locations.
• Solid decision-making skills with the ability to make quick decisions under difficult circumstances.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
• Valid Advanced Security Training/AST (considered an asset).
• Fluency in a second language (considered an asset).
• Open availability (considered an asset).
