pfg is hiring a Loss Prevention Officer for our Victoria, BC locations. The role involves undercover presence on the sales floor, discreet observations to prevent loss, and ensuring safety for customers, staff, and assets.

You will conduct security audits, document evidence, and maintain professionalism while collaborating with law enforcement as needed. This position offers weekly pay, benefits eligibility, paid training, license recall support, and equipment provided by the company.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Worker's Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• Reliable transportation with ability to travel between store locations.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Advanced Security Training/AST is an asset (optional).
• Fluency in a second language is an asset (optional).
• Open availability is an asset (optional).

Responsibilities

We are hiring a Loss Prevention Officer for our locations in Victoria, BC.

The starting wage for this position is $23 per hour.

You will be responsible for:

• Maintaining an undercover, plain-clothes presence on the sales floor while blending into the store environment.
• Conducting discreet observations to identify and address potential theft, fraud, and mischief.
• Approaching situations with a customer-first mindset.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor when dealing with the public, staff, and law enforcement agencies.
• Conducting security audits of the building and assets.
• Performing arrests, ask to pays, and product recoveries.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.

You have:

• A valid BC Security Worker's Licence with Security Guard endorsement.

• The ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.

Compensation Details:

$20.00 - $26.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
