Job summary

ESAB Mississauga invites a motivated Logistics Support Intern to join our supply chain team. Based in Mississauga, you will support inventory monitoring, forecasting, replenishment, PO tracking, and data analysis to help keep materials flowing efficiently.

You will collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders; develop process improvements and contribute to cost reduction and service improvements while gaining hands-on experience in ERP, Excel, and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in SCM, Business Administration, Operations, Logistics or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient with pivot tables.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI or ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inventory monitoring, forecasting, and replenishment activities.
• Support procurement and purchase order tracking.
• Analyze supply chain data and prepare KPI reports.
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders for timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and master data.
• Identify process improvements and support implementation.
• Participate in cost reduction, service improvement, and efficiency projects.
• Assist with demand planning and production scheduling as required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assist with inventory monitoring, forecasting, and replenishment activities.
• Support procurement and purchasing processes, including purchase order tracking.
• Analyze supply chain data and prepare reports on key performance metrics.
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Help maintain accurate inventory records and master data.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation efforts.
• Participate in supply chain projects related to cost reduction, service improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Assist with demand planning and production scheduling activities as required.

WHO YOU ARE

• Proactive self-starter comfortable working both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with pivot tables.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret simple instructions; ability to respond/ react effectively.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable discussing and demonstrating product capabilities in small group setting.
• Demonstrates attentiveness, responsiveness, and an appropriate sense of urgency.
• Have a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI, ERP systems, or data analysis tools is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.
