Position Description Summary
Reporting to the Site Manager and/or Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective operation of all assigned shift and warehouse activities, including picking, shipping, and receiving.
Principal Accountabilities
Customer
• Ensures inventory integrity by timely and accurate receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory management.
• Executes daily customer/vendor contract requirements and identifies accessorial activities, ensuring necessary documentation.
• Provides a professional environment in relation to external customers such as drivers, dispatchers, and customer representatives.
• Establishes, maintains, and promotes high standards of customer service.
Associate
• Organizes and leads efforts to improve productivity by enhancing processes and associate work efficiency.
• Ensures associates have proper access to necessary tools (e.g., MHE, scanners, printers, PC) and that these tools are routinely inspected and maintained.
• Communicates and implements changes as directed.
• Ensures health and safety compliance according to company policies.
• Provides leadership by setting clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety-conscious behavior.
• Supervises all staff under your direct or indirect control.
• Ensures resources are utilized efficiently.
• Monitors shift performance through KPIs, focusing on cost control.
• Communicates, applies, and enforces company policies (operational, safety, regulatory, administrative).
Process
• Plans, manages, and adjusts daily workload and staffing to minimize unplanned overtime.
• Maximizes quality and productivity by understanding job standards, evaluating performance variances, and implementing corrective actions.
• Participates in workshop action plans, projects, and sharing of best practices.
• Collaborates with other sites to share safety, process, and best practices initiatives.
• Performs administrative duties as needed to achieve daily KPI performance.
