Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office, especially Excel for data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Hybrid work environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities for timely delivery and pick-up.
  • Manage relationships with transportation providers, negotiate rates and SLAs.
  • Prepare shipping docs, customs declarations, and invoices.
  • Monitor shipments, track progress, and resolve delays.
  • Maintain records of logistics activities, inventory levels and costs.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations and finance to streamline processes.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and organized Logistics Specialist to join their team in Kimberley . This role involves managing and coordinating various aspects of the supply chain, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring logistics operations, working closely with internal departments, carriers, and suppliers. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic business environment in the Northern Cape , optimizing logistical processes and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up.
  • Manage relationships with transportation providers, negotiating rates and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Prepare and process necessary shipping documentation, customs declarations, and invoices.
  • Monitor shipments, track progress, and resolve any logistical issues or delays proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, inventory levels, and costs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, finance) to streamline logistics processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a logistics or supply chain role.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
