Job description

Reimer Associates is recruiting on behalf of our retail industry client who is a rapidly growing provider of retail fixtures and in-store merchandising solutions. Their work includes displays, shelving, signage and print for retail customers across North America.

The company coordinates products from a network of domestic and international suppliers, including manufacturers of millwork, metal, acrylic and glass components. With continued growth in project management and sales, they are adding a Logistics Specialist to their Burlington team.

The opportunity:

This is a hands-on, project-based logistics role supporting an experienced logistics manager. You will coordinate the movement of retail fixtures from third-party vendors to customer locations, retail build sites and distribution centres. Each coordinator owns their projects from start to finish. That means managing several moving parts at once, communicating with vendors and carriers, tracking delivery timelines, and resolving issues before they affect a store opening or installation schedule. The ideal candidate is an intermediate-level logistics professional: experienced enough to work independently, but still interested in learning, contributing and growing within a close-knit team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate domestic, U.S. and international shipments of custom millwork, metal racking, signage, glass, acrylic and visual merchandising components

  • Arrange transportation from third-party suppliers to retail build sites, customer locations and regional distribution centres

  • Consolidate shipments from multiple vendors where required

  • Prepare and manage shipping, customs and related documentation

  • Work with trucking companies, freight providers, customs brokers, vendors, project managers and customer teams

  • Track shipments and proactively communicate delivery updates, risks and schedule changes

  • Receive shipments at the Burlington location, package materials and arrange pickups

  • Manage freight claims involving damaged or missing components, including fragile glass and mirrored fixtures

  • Coordinate the disposal, recycling or return of transport crating and protective packaging

  • Maintain accurate shipment and project records using Excel and other internal systems

What you bring:

  • Minimum 3 experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or a related field

  • At least one year of experience supporting retail rollouts, construction projects, fixtures, displays or other time-sensitive project work is preferred

  • Broad logistics experience across transportation coordination, vendor management and shipment administration

  • Knowledge of customs, tariffs, brokerage or trade compliance is an asset

  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables; Smartsheet experience is an asset

  • Excellent organization, attention to detail and follow-through

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and adjust quickly when project requirements change

  • A practical, roll-up-your-sleeves approach and a willingness to get involved in the details

  • Clear and confident communication with internal and external stakeholders

  • A college diploma or university degree in logistics, supply chain, business or a related discipline is preferred

Why consider this role?

  • Take ownership of logistics projects from beginning to end

  • Gain exposure to domestic and international supply chains and retail project delivery

  • Work alongside an experienced logistics leader with deep industry knowledge

  • Join a growing company where logistics is central to customer success

  • Build a path toward broader project management responsibilities over time

This is a full-time, in-office position in Burlington. Face-to-face collaboration is an important part of the team’s culture, so the successful candidate must be comfortable working on-site and engaging directly with colleagues, vendors and project partners.
