Job summary

XTL Transport, Logistics, Distribution in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Logistics Professional to collaborate with carriers and dispatchers to ensure visibility and service. You will identify and resolve in-transit issues with timely communication to stakeholders.

Responsibilities include strengthening carrier relationships, monitoring performance, performing TMS updates and EDI audits, and handling intransit data integrity while aligning with LEAD WITH GRACE values.

• Carrier Relations: Grow and develop carrier relationships; monitor performance; proactive carrier communication; track shipments; handle loss/damage information.
• Customer Relations / Reporting: Update TMS shipments; conduct EDI audits; reconcile yard checks; book Lumpers; track and bill accessorial charges.
• Corporate Responsibilities: Align with corporate objectives and LEAD WITH GRACE values.
• Measurement: Ensure data integrity and verify carrier data before completing orders.
• Other Responsibilities: Support and replace team members as needed.

Job Summary

Interact with carriers / dispatchers to ensure the highest level of visibility and service. In doing so the JLP needs to identify, address, and resolve all in transit issues. Timely communication with all relevant stakeholders to determine the best course of action in the shortest amount of time is fundamental.

Responsibilities/ Tasks

1. Carrier Relations:

• Grow & develop strong carrier relationships
• Monitor and provide feedback on carrier overall performance to the Carrier Logistic Planner
• Proactive communication with carriers to ensure shipments are being executed as scheduled
• Trace status of shipments and provide information back to Shipper Logistics Planner as needed
• Handle initial information on loss/damage and shortage claims on shipments

2. Customer Relations / Reporting:

• Complete TMS shipment updates
• Conduct EDI audits
• Update / Reconcile yard checks
• Book Lumpers
• Track, report and bill accessorial charges

3. Corporate Responsibilities:

• Perform all of the above responsibilities in alignment with our corporate strategic objectives

4. Measurement:

• Ensure data integrity is high when managing and completing orders
