Job summary

AVL Manufacturing Inc., based in Hamilton, Ontario, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of materials, products, and resources within and outside the plant, ensuring smooth operations, on-time deliveries, and adherence to company policies and regulations.

You will collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, production, and service teams, coordinate with carriers, and prepare shipping documents.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics, warehousing and manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with MS Office and shipping platforms (FedEx/Purolator/UPS).
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and ERP.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Experience negotiating with carriers and customs brokers.
• Experience dealing with customs documentation and border services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and movement of materials.
• Negotiate with carriers and logistics providers for cost-effective transport.
• Monitor shipments and resolve transportation issues.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production to maintain inventory levels.
• Prepare shipping documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and perform cycle counts.
• Support production planning with material availability updates.
• Build relationships with logistics providers and customers.
