Job summary

AVL Manufacturing Inc. in Hamilton is seeking an Engineering Support Specialist to join our engineering and manufacturing teams.

You will create and maintain BOMs, manage engineering documentation and product configurations within ERP, and ensure accurate release of information for production, procurement, and quality needs. You will help manage revision control, document templates, and records while supporting continuous improvement of engineering support processes and administrative tasks as

Qualifications

College diploma in mechanical engineering technology or related field.
2–3 years in engineering support, document control, manufacturing, or product data role.
Experience with ERP systems such as Visual, Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
Familiarity with BOM structures, revision control, and engineering drawings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the ERP system.
Enter and maintain item master data, material attributes, and product configurations.
Process engineering change notices (ECNs) and update documentation.
Release engineering drawings and documents per procedures.
Verify BOM accuracy against drawings and design docs.
Assist with revision control and document management.
Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed.
Support continuous improvement in engineering support processes.
Assist with meeting scheduling and other engineering admin tasks.
