Qualifications

• High school education with 5+ years experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years relevant work experience.
• Courses in project management and scheduling/time management are assets.
• Good knowledge of transport industry and traffic.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Proficient knowledge in MS Office.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate paperwork and electronic data.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player, proactive, and enthusiastic about outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Generating shipping paperwork for submission to drivers, carrier dispatch, and US Customs.
• Assisting with the Purchase Order process to monitor and close out Freight POs.
• Help organize interplant transfers of parts and materials via internal couriers.
• Facilitating workflow for manufactured product between plants and storage locations.
• Monitoring the flow of materials to ensure on-time delivery.
• Troubleshooting problems to keep projects on schedule.
• Working with logistics team to follow delivery schedules.
• Monitoring communication and workflow between Production/Shipping/Logistics.
• Working with contracted couriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Participating in process improvement initiatives.
• Ensuring contracted couriers follow company policies and procedures.
