Job summary

Johnson Controls in Nisku, Alberta is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support inbound and outbound materials, coordinating shipping, PO tracking, and courier management. You will help ensure on-time delivery, assist with interplant transfers, and contribute to process improvements within a team of six logistics coordinators.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and MS Office proficiency, with travel in the Edmonton area as needed. A related degree and experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience or a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Courses in project management or scheduling/time management are an asset.
• Good knowledge of transport industry and traffic.
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
• Proficient in MS Office and data handling.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate paperwork and data flow.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Generate shipping paperwork for drivers, carriers, and U.S. customs.
• Assist with Purchase Order process to monitor and close freight POs.
• Organize interplant transfers via internal couriers.
• Coordinate workflow between plants and storage locations.
• Monitor material flow to ensure on-time delivery and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Logistics team to meet schedules and delivery targets.
• Ensure contracted couriers follow company policies and deliver accurately.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and reporting.
