Job description

Logistics Coordinator, Truck, Burnaby, British Columbia

When you join our team as a Logistics Coordinator, Truck, you will be responsible for coordinating shipments from Interfor’s US and Canadian operations, servicing the North American market.

What You’ll Do
  • Work closely with the Manager, Truck Logistics to ensure transportation capacity is secured to meet order fulfillment and delivery requirements.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders about inbound equipment availability and troubleshoot delays.
  • Assist in maintaining rate quotes and freight optimization for sales inquiries.
  • Update rates in sales quoting tools, ERP, and forecast systems.
  • Set up and maintain freight vendors, location tables, and Customer Ship-To Addresses in ERP system.
  • Understand customer needs and develop policies to meet those needs effectively.
  • Implement quality delivery initiatives supporting Interfor’s values.
  • Process freight payables and resolve billing issues as needed.
What You Offer
  • Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of logistics experience.
  • Rail and/or truck experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with TMS and ERP systems is an asset.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize under tight deadlines.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and creative solution development.
  • Good communication with internal teams, carriers, and service providers.
  • Self-motivated team player.

What We Offer

Our salary range is estimated at $62,000 to $85,000 CAD annually, benchmarked to market conditions and based on experience and credentials. Along with a competitive salary, we offer a benefits package and participation in our Short-Term Incentive Bonus plan.
