The Domestic Logistics Coordinator (DLC) is a key operations role within High Liner Foods, focusing on North American transportation. The DLC manages and makes decisions within the supply chain to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive logistics services to optimize service and cost, including building and planning customer loads, selecting and tendering loads to carriers, and ensuring routing guide compliance.
• Understand customer requirements and communicate with carriers to avoid fines/fees.
• Plan multi-stop loads, optimize truck utilization, and adhere to freight budgets.
• Track load execution, obtain status updates, and identify risks with solutions.
• Update stakeholders, review freight payment discrepancies, and maintain SOPs.
• Monitor KPIs and suggest improvements.
• Evaluate decisions impacting freight costs and develop carrier relationships.
• Participate in on-call support and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or 5+ years relevant experience.
• Experience with supply chain software (BluJay/E2 Open TMS, JD considered assets).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Carrier-facing experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Transportation management experience (TL, LTL, IM).
