The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the timely and efficient delivery of goods and materials to customers or designated locations during the after-hours shift. This role is essential for ensuring smooth delivery operations, optimizing transportation processes, and maintaining exceptional customer service standards. The candidate will work closely with the Logistics Manager and collaborate with team members across different regions. This is a bilingual position requiring fluency in both Spanish and English.

Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing after-hours support for Canadian and U.S. deliveries, including follow-ups on pickups, in-transit updates, and timely communication with customers regarding delays or issues
  • Issuing and managing T&E bonds, as well as sending necessary documentation for customs clearance
  • Monitoring in-transit loads expected to arrive the following day, prioritizing those departing or arriving in the U.S. and Canada
  • Coordinating daily deliveries with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure schedule adherence and service quality
  • Communicating with traders to track pending loads, confirm inventory availability, and review delivery drafts
  • Sending arrival notices and inspection instructions to customers and receiving facilities
  • Managing last-minute changes to delivery dates and proactively informing customers and internal teams
  • Overseeing invoice processing related to delayed or problematic deliveries.
  • Managing credit and debit notes related to delivery incidents or operational adjustments, coordinating with stakeholders as needed
  • Following up on claims with plants and carriers to ensure resolution and proper documentation
  • Creating and coordinating the return of FedEx labels and documentation for shipments with administrative or customs-related errors

The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to some of the above work areas, and/or a keen interest in building these skill sets. To be successful within the company, the candidate will need to be willing to learn new skills; adapt in a changing environment and work well as part of a team.

Some characteristics we believe might set a candidate up for success in this role are:

  • 2-4 years’ experience working or living in a Spanish speaking setting
  • Experience in a client facing role within a B2B industry or service provider
  • Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working with cross-border shipments (Mexico/US/Canada) is a strong asset.
  • A healthy dose of both curiosity and tenacity
