OpTalent in Markham is recruiting a Logistics Coordinator for an established transportation and logistics provider. In this role you will help keep shipments on track, work directly with carriers, and ensure deliveries are completed and properly documented.

You will track and trace LTL shipments, follow up on pickup, transit, and delivery status, verify proof of delivery, and maintain accurate records in the transportation management system while communicating updates across teams.

Formación

• Logistics experience or related role.
• Hands-on shipment tracking and carrier follow-up.
• Familiarity with LTL freight and POD documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and follow-through.
• Clear communication and ability to manage multiple shipments.
• Experience with TruckMate or similar TMS is a plus.

Responsabilidades

If you enjoy keeping shipments on track, working directly with carriers, and making sure deliveries are completed and properly documented, this role offers hands-on involvement in the transportation process from pickup through final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and trace shipments, with a focus on less-than-truckload (LTL) freight.
  
• Follow up with carriers to confirm pickup, transit, and delivery status.
  
• Investigate delayed or missing shipments and resolve delivery discrepancies.
  
• Verify proof of delivery (POD), including signed delivery receipts and delivery confirmations.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in logistics, freight coordination, transportation, or a related role.
  
• Hands-on experience with shipment tracking, tracing, and carrier follow-up.
  
• Familiarity with LTL freight and proof-of-delivery documentation.
  
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  
• Clear communication skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.
  
• Experience with TruckMate or a similar transportation management system (TMS) is an asset.
