With safety, efficiency, and customer service as priorities, the Logistics Coordinator is accountable for the shipping of all orders. They are responsible for analyzing and developing logistics plans that maximize customer satisfaction and minimize costs. The Logistics Coordinator plays an integral role in our Customer Experience by ensuring customers receive exceptional service throughout order processing and that any problems with order flow are expertly resolved.
Requirements
- Plan and coordinate, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager, the transportation of customer orders. Facilitate the shipping of orders on behalf of customers while adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize the in-house software system to complete daily logistical tasks.
- Ensure logistics on-time shipping objectives are met, maintaining quality standards efficiently and effectively, in accordance with Health and Safety, Collective Agreement, Quality, ISO 9001-2015, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement standards, and BRC policies and procedures.
- Ensure efficient utilization of storage space and shipment of products.
- As part of the team, ensure customers receive exceptional service throughout order processing, including preparing loads for shipment and managing inbound and outbound warehouse traffic.
- Respond promptly to the Logistics Manager regarding any order flow, shipping delays, or quality control issues, such as damages or client deadlines, and work closely to resolve these issues.
- Collaborate with Production, Customer Experience, Quality, and Scheduling departments to ensure timely completion and shipment of orders.
- Work with the Logistics Manager to geographically consolidate shipments to maximize trailer space utilization and reduce costs.
- Arrange daily transport of materials to/from Tayco and Woodlore from BRC.
- Ensure all pickup orders are complete and communicated to customers.
- Manage scanning of pickup, courier, and carrier orders, ensuring timely and cost-efficient shipments.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to maintain stock of courier boxes, paperwork, supplies, boxes, and packaging materials necessary for timely order shipping.
- Maintain respectful and courteous interactions, building effective working relationships within the department and across BRC.
- Comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- 6 months to 1 year experience in Logistics, Shipping and Receiving, including 1 year in an Administrative role, Manufacturing/Warehousing environment, or equivalent.
- Experience with ERP, SAP, and/or WMS systems is an asset.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Good time management skills, with experience handling multiple projects.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
