  • Experience with international logistics, customs requirements, and export documentation is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison between Order Management, Thermon affiliates, customers, and internal departments to ensure clear communication.
  • Adhere to shipping/receiving procedures for accurate, compliant processing.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping docs: invoices, packing lists, test reports, and conformance certificates.
  • Support Order Fulfillment Manager and Shipping/Receiving Supervisor with initiatives and requirements.
  • Perform pickups and deliveries safely and promptly.
  • Record shipment data: weight, freight, space, damages, discrepancies for reporting.
  • Evaluate shipping methods to minimize environmental impact.
  • Coordinate with carriers to arrange shipments and communicate requirements.
  • Investigate shipping issues with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization in work areas.
  • Assist with freight inspections, floor checks, and loading as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Role

The Logistics Coordinator role provides customer support and coordinates order processing for domestic and international shipping and receiving. This is a hands‑on position for an individual who is capable of following and executing established processes and procedures.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as a liaison between Order Management, Thermon affiliates, customers, and internal departments to ensure effective communication and operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to established shipping and receiving procedures to ensure accurate and compliant transaction processing.
  • Prepare, compile, and maintain shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, test reports, certificates of conformance, and other customer‑or quality‑related documentation.
  • Provide support to the Order Fulfillment Manager and Shipping/Receiving Supervisor by assisting with departmental initiatives and operational requirements as needed.
  • Perform company‑related pickups and deliveries in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
  • Accurately record shipment information, including weight, freight charges, available space, damages, and discrepancies, to support reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Evaluate shipping methods and transportation routes to identify options that minimize environmental impact and support sustainability objectives.
  • Coordinate with carriers and transportation providers to arrange shipments and communicate shipping and delivery requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping‑related issues, including damages, shortages, and non‑conformances, through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with company safety policies and procedures while ensuring work areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
  • Assist with freight inspections, floor checks, and loading activities as required to support operational needs.
  • Perform other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by management.
