The Logistics Coordinator primarily manages daily customer interactions related to cement order placement. This role involves coordinating with sales teams, operations, and contract truck partners to ensure timely delivery aligned with industry standards.
Effective communication with truck partners is crucial to ensure efficient, on-time delivery of Lafarge’s materials. The Coordinator also handles administrative tasks related to billing and invoicing after delivery.
This full-time, customer-facing role demands a service-oriented, professional approach. Success in this position requires problem-solving skills, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, troubleshooting abilities, and efficiency-focused thinking.
This role offers an opportunity to learn about Lafarge Western Canada's business and sales operations, including cement, concrete, and aggregate manufacturing, distribution through plants and terminals, logistics channels, and industry success factors.
Education and Work Experience :
An associate degree or college diploma in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related fields is preferred. Knowledge of building materials industry and product familiarity is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
