Our client in Peel Region is actively looking for a Logistics, Business Development Specialist to join their team.

Job Description :
- Plan and conduct market research to identify new opportunities and territories.
- Develop strategies to improve quality, efficiency, and sell price of existing services.
- Develop strategies to maintain and/or improve company profit margins.
- Increase sales volume from existing customers by adding more lanes, products, or services.
- Identify corporate deficiencies and strategize to address them.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans in the assigned territory.
- Generate new business through lead generation, cold calling, and outreach via letters, emails, or phone calls in the assigned territory.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Provide quotations/bids and follow up appropriately for each contact.
- Successfully close deals.
- Create SOPs for new customers and support the onboarding process between operations and clients.
- Provide excellent customer service to new and existing clients.
- Monitor sales results and prepare monthly status reports on sales and pipeline accounts.
Required skill set :
- University or College degree with business/financial knowledge (preferred).
- Good understanding of profit margins and markup on costs.
- Knowledge of trends in the logistics industry.
- Familiarity with sales and marketing tools.
- Proven self-starter with at least 1 year of experience in PL sales.
- At least 1 year of experience in Logistics Sales.
- Successful track record of closing new business.
- Customer-centric approach.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
