Job summary

Traffic Tech in Hamilton, ON is seeking a Logistics Booking Agent to coordinate and execute over-the-road freight across North America. You will build strong relationships with carriers, manage dispatching and documentation, and negotiate competitive rates using our proprietary technology.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in freight brokerage or logistics, can handle heavy email volume, communicates clearly, is detail oriented, and can work independently or in teams.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation coordination.
• Able to organize a heavy volume of emails and use Outlook effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly via email and phone.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Capable of working independently or in large groups.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain strong relationships with vendors and motor carriers.
• Booking operations including dispatching, updating, and problem solving.
• Negotiate competitive rates with carriers based on current market rates.
• Gather proof of deliveries and required shipping documentation.

Your Part in it:

Working out of our Hamilton, ON office, we are looking for a driven individual to liaison with key stakeholder groups. In this role you will be responsible for making sure the movement of over-the-road (OTR) freight across North America is coordinated and executed successfully according to our customers’ needs. We teach you the skills necessary to operate in the transportation industry by utilizing our own, proprietary technology. LOGISTICS BOOKING AGENT

What the Job Entails:

• Create and maintain strong relationships with vendors and motor carriers
• Booking operations (Dispatching, updating and problem solving)
• Negotiate competitive rates with carriers depending on current market rates
• Gathering proof of deliveries and any other required shipping documentation needed to close out loads
• Effective and professional communication with carriers and within the business group

What We Are Looking For:

• 1-2 years experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation coordination.
• Able to organize heavy volume of emails, email organization, sub folders, outlook follow up, a savvy outlook user.
• Ability to communicate effectively on emails
• Problem solving, ability to think outside the box
• Detail oriented
• Possess professional phone mannerisms
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work independent or in large groups.

This is a full-time permanent position from Monday to Friday

The salary range for this position is $55,000-$60,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
